Hope for Special Education, in partnership with Florida University South East (FUSE) conducted training at SMU, Green Campus from October 3– November10, 2022. Hope is founded with the mission of promoting awareness and action in support of Special Education. Mainly it provides evidence – based practice and training programs to professionals that provide services for individuals with autism as well as other special needs.
During the certificate awarding ceremony held on 11th of November, Aida Amare, founder and CEO of Hope for Special Education, Inc., noted that the training was aimed at offering Special Needs Education for families and professionals who work with disabilities.
After the introductory remarks by the CEO, Wondwosen Tamirat (PhD), President of St. Mary’s University and a long-standing partner of Florida University South East, awarded certificates to the trainees.
Finally, Sharon Floyd, Director of Education for Hope for Special Education, and Ayenachew Assefa (PhD) Associate Vice President of Florida University South East condoned St. Mary’s University’s facility and resource assistance to make the training a reality, and awarded St. Mary’s University with a certificate as a gesture of appreciation. On his part Wondwosen Tamirat (PhD) remarked that the partnership will be further more strengthened.
