St. Mary’s University (SMU) hosted a half-day exhibition on February 27, 2023, at the Undergraduate Campus Multipurpose Hall organized by Reach for Change, in collaboration with, the Office of the Vice President for Research and International Relations of SMU and IKEA Foundation. During the event, Misganaw Solomon, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and International Relations at St. Mary’s University, gave a welcoming speech. He appreciated Reach for Change for the skill-based entrepreneurship training offered to St. Mary’s University graduating students in three cohorts.
During the exhibition, different trainees drawn from two private institutions: St. Mary’s University and Addis Technique College, and other two public institutions: Federal TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) and Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (ASTU) showcased their innovative products, such as fertilizers, leather bags, soap, and threads from disposed plastic bottles.
Reach for Change is an international non-profit organization that runs two programs in Ethiopia to support young people to start and grow green businesses, with the mission to unleash the power of innovation and entrepreneurship.
