Training on Green Entrepreneurship Boot Camp conducted

St. Mary’s University, in collaboration with Reach for Change (RfC), conducted a four-day training on “Green Entrepreneurship Boot Camp” for the first cohort of trainees selected from SMU, on April 6-9, 2022 at SMU Main Campus Syndicate Room. The objective of the training was to strengthen the capacity of the trainees on entrepreneurial mindset and product design, Green Business development, financial management and practical steps to start small businesses.

The trainees actively participated and shared their ideas and life experiences in relation to starting small business in Ethiopia with special focus on Addis Ababa. They also raised a number of questions, to which Ato Dawit Tilahun, Program Coordinator of Reach for Change, and trainers replied in detail.

At the end of the four-day training, the trainees were awarded certificate of completion by Misganaw Solomon (PhD), the Vice President for Research and International Relations. The trainers were Tesfaye Tilahun and Simon Tareke from St. Mary’s University (who took part in the Training of Trainers on Green Entrepreneurship Boot Camp organized by Reach for Change in March, 2022), and Daniel Tadesse and Yomuma Likessa from Reach for Change.  

Finally, a closing remark was made by the Ato Dawit Tilahun who emphasized what is expected from the trainees and the nature of competition they are going to face in the future.
