St. Mary’s University (SMU) has links and partnership agreements with local institutions in a bid to share experiences and fulfill its outreach missions. It has signed MOU with higher education institutions, Non-governmental organizations, and various establishments the details of which are provided below. 

  • Memorandum of Agreement between SMU and ACCA

Date of signing: 21 May 2013

Purpose of MOU: Is to serve as a guidance document between SMU and ACCA Ethiopia. Establishing provision of ACCA tuition and guiding SMU through the requirements and process of becoming an ACCA accredited learning provider.

  • MOU between SMU and ZTE

Purpose of MoU: To cooperate on setting up Uni-Certefication Services for Ethiopia region in order provide IP networking with different level in Ethiopia for good faith under the conditions and terms in this Agreement.

  • Memorandum of Agreement between SMU and DKT Ethiopia

Purpose of MOU: This MO'U sets in place mechanisms to address one of the health service issues – Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) in St. Mary’s University (SMU).

  • Agreement between SMU & Artistic Printing Enterprise

Purpose of MOU: To work together in providing training to employees and management staff of the enterprise.To strengthen the cooperative business relationship between the two organizations & help the enterprise to develop the art of modern management & advanced work culture that is supported by state of the art technology & developing the provision of quality printing products & services thereby enhance its customer satisfaction and gain a strong competitive advantage in the market.

  •  MOU between SMU and NATIONAL ALLIANCE OF STATE AND TERRITORIAL AIDS DIRECTORS

Purpose of MOU: This MOU is to outline the specific terms and conditions that are mentioned in the HIV/AIDS prevention and Intervention Package in University under which NASTAD Ethiopia and University Partener will collaborate for the length of this one year project. The "University MIV/STI Prevention Package Project" (referred to as Prevention Package) is being conducted with the full cooperation of Federal and Regional HAPCO.

Purpose of MOU: SMU has entered into an agreement with the Finland Embassy in Ethiopia where the Embassy has agreed to contribute funds up to a maximum of€11,441.00 for the annual publication and distribution of Mizan Law Review – a peer reviewed Journal Published by the Faculty of Law, SMU. The assistance from the embassy has enabled SMU to publish the journal for more than three years now.

Purpose of MOU: To establish Collaborative working arrangement between SMU and the Universities. The MOU supports a variety of higher education activities with the aim to improve education quality and achieve the Ethiopian national higher education mission.

  • MOU between St. Mary's University(SMU) and Araya Welfare Organization, Addis AbabaEthiopia

Purpose of MOU: To involve both parties in undertaking different social tasks mainly focusing on young women to provide social and economic aid;

To improve the lives of women and children through skill training, education and income generating activities with sustainable self-employment, relief and sensitization on the impact of divorce and related issues like HIV/ AIDS and RH.

  • MOU between St. Mary's University(SMU) and Kibre Aregawiyan MigbareSenay Direjit.

Purpose of MOU:SMU has MOU with Kibre Aregawiyan is a local NGO engaged in poverty reduction through financial, material, medical, psycho-social and spiritual support to the Ethiopian elderly. The purpose of the MOU is to engage both parties for the benefit of the Ethiopian elderly.

  • MOU between St. Mary's University(SMU) and Alliance for Brain-Gain and Innovative Development (ABIDE)

Purpose of MOU: To initiate a cooperative programme that allows SMU to benefit from ABIDE’s Brain Gain Scheme in which Ethiopian Diaspora might be used in building SMU’s capacity by involving in such activities as teaching and providing technical services.

Purpose of MOU: To work jointly against the HIV/Aids epidemic by coordinating recourse, knowledge and materials. The assistance usually focuses on children who have lost their families due to the epidemic.

  • Memorandum of Agreement between SMU and Higher Education’s Partnership Sub-Forum against HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia
