St. Mary’s University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, African Union Commission, the Association African Universities (AAU), the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and the International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa (IICBA/UNESCO), is organizing the 15th International Conference on Private Higher Education in Africa, during 25th-28th July, 2017 at the Intercontental Addis Hotel in Addis Ababa.


The theme of the Conference is “Ensuring Quality through Enhanced Public Private- Partnership”. The Conference is expected to bring fresh insights on how to strengthen quality and relevance in expanding higher education in Ethiopia through public-private initiatives.


More than 350 university leaders, educators, policy/decision-makers, researchers, and representatives of national, regional and international organizations from Ethiopia, Africa and the rest of the world are expected to attend the Conference.


St. Mary’s University is also organizing its 11th National Annual Student Research Forum on August 23-24, 2017. The forum is exclusively organized for graduate and undergraduate students to share their findings with fellow students, staff and other participants. Interested students from public and private universities in Ethiopia are invited to submit their abstracts. Papers presented at the Forum will be published in a Proceeding and there will be modest remuneration for paper presenters


Moreover, St. Mary’s University is finalizing its preparations to conduct its 9th Multidisciplinary Seminar (MDS) on August 25, 2017. All interested researchers are invited to submit their original research paper on all main branches of science (all scientific discipline) such as Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Formal Sciences and Applied Sciences.
